As much as possible, have at least two pairs of shoes that you can wear alternately. Bacteria and fungus can grow rapidly in damp, moist places including in between your toes and the sole of your feet. Avoid cutting your toenails and your fingernails for that matter too close to the skin. This will give the fungus an entrance to your nails. If you are diabetic always exercise caution about your choice of footwear. You should also watch out for your diet which may give an invitation to fungal infections.

Truly, toenail fungal infection is a very common medical condition that needs to be addressed right away. At the earliest signs immediately consult your dermatologist for some medical advice. If you are already sure that it is a toenail fungal infection then applying one or more of the treatments above is expedient.

  6. This is similar to my fungus, just a little on the corners of my nails. I am using vinegar now, next I will try the Funginex.
